Summertime in the UK is arguably the best time of year to study abroad. Longer summer days give you the opportunity to explore the major metropolitan cities into the wee hours of the night or enjoy the sunrise over the rolling hill and grasslands of the quintessential British countryside. Wherever your travels take you, studying abroad in the Summer term is easier then ever with our three step process.

1. THINK

The first step in the process is to think about what kind of study abroad experience you want. Do you want to be in the heart of the major cities, enjoying the never ending cosmopolitan action day in and day out? Or do you prefer a slower pace of life in the country, where you can study and recharge your batteries from a long year of study back home?

Either way, we help match you with the right Summer program that fits not only the experience you are wanting but the academic requirements you need.

2. APPLY

The second step is to apply. The Summer application is typically shorter and less complex then semester long applications making it even easier to study abroad in the Summer. You will typically need a letter of recommendation, personal statement and an official university transcript. Lastly, we will help you pick the courses that will count for credit back home making sure a Summer study abroad is worth your academic time.

The Summer programs offer some of the most unique academic opportunities. Classes like Londonopolis, which combines contemporary theories and debates with a hands-on ethnographic, street-level approaches, or The Psychology of Murder, which comprises lectures, workshops and debates as well as a walking tour of some of the famous London murder sites, are only offered in the Summer making them limited and very sought after.

3. PREPARE

Preparing for a successful Summer abroad is easy and is the last step before you go on a life-changing study abroad experience. After being accepted into your chosen UK university, you will receive pre departure information about housing, class schedules and social activities. We help you understand all the university information as well as how to apply for a visa, funding your Summer abroad and important British specific information on travel, security and safety, and medical facilities in the UK.

And why not take even more advantage of your time in Britain; look up places to visit, festivals to attend, and European cities to travel to!

Following our four easy steps to studying abroad in the UK this Summer will ensure you earn the academic credit you need and have the social experience you want.
